100% mencía, grown on the mainly slate soils of "A Pena das Marías", a 3 hectare 50 year old vineyard. Hand harvested, fermented & nurtured 10 months in 4,000 liter French oak vats.

Clean, bright ruby red color with delightful raspberry/cherry fruit along with floral/herbal notes and a whisper of spice and stony minerals.
Flows nicely on the palate with red berry fruit, a touch of citrus (orange zest) plush/satiny tannins and a vibrant mineral-laced finish. Excellent stuff.

Renouned Galician winemaker Eulogio Pomares Zárate oversees the production for the Uvas Felices line of tailor-made wines.
