Wine of the Week

Codorniu Pinot Noir Brut Rosé NV [Sparkling]
Producer: Codorniu
Region: DO Cava

We may be at the end of what's perceived as the sparkling wine time of year, but this delightful rosé from Codorniu is well worth trying. A great wine for food or celebrating, fresh and full of flavor.

A pretty light pink/onion skin color with lots of small bubbles. Well defined, intense aromas show off a complex blend of red berry fruits with a hint of smokiness. Crisp and fresh on the palate with nice creamy mouthfilling bubbles and ample cherry/berry fruit. Good complexity and a long finish. Excellent.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
