Mas Sinén Negre 2004 [Red]
Producer: Celler Burgos-Porta
Region: DO Priorat

A relative newcomer to the Priorato scene, Burgos-Portas wines have shown well from day one. This full bodied red is a blend of Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cariñena and Syrah, with a year of ageing in French oak barrels. A superb wine with lots of body, yet it's smooth and ready to drink right now.

Deep dark cherry red color. Great nose with lots of well ripened berry/plum fruit, a hint of smokey oak and a nice mineral background. On the palate it's rich and sweet with a pleasant blend of fresh berries (blueberry) and extra-ripe plummy/pruney fruit. Smooth sweet hefty tannins with a great finish.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
