Wine of the Week

Corpus del Muni 2002 [Red]
Producer: Bodegas del Muni
Region:

This is the second vintage for this up and coming producer under the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla denomination. Made from old vines Tempranillo with a bit of oak age, this rich, fruity red might go well with the Thanksgiving turkey.

Medium depth cherry red color with a bluish tint. Ripe berry aromas [cherry/blueberry] and a touch of vanilla & spice. A rich fruit-driven palate with good length and just the right amount of oak. Great value.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
