Les Sorts Sycar 2020 [Red]
Producer: Celler Masroig
Region: DO Montsant

60% syrah from younger vineyards, 40% old vines cariņena (carignan) grown on red clay soils. Nurtured in for 13 months: syrah in American oak barrels, cariņena in French barriques.

Deep dark color with red berry aromas, plums, a touch of black olives & violets.
Rich, fruit driven palate with a nice background of spice (nutmeg), dark chocolate & tobacco. Sweet tannins and a long finish. Excellent stuff. I will get more for my cellar.

Nestled up next to the famed Priorat region, the Masroig co-op is DO Montsant's largest producer, making an extensive range of quality wines.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
