Caliza 2018 [Red]
Producer: Dominio de Valdepusa
Region: Vino de Pago

60% petit verdot, 20% graciano, 20% syrah grown on clay based soils over limestone (caliza=limestone), nurtured 10 months in French oak barrels.

Dark berry fruit (plums/blackberries/mulberry), dry straw/herbs, rocky minerals and subtle spices (vanilla/cinnamon/nutmeg).
Well defined tannins, smooth with body, balanced acidity, persistent. Very good wine, an excellent value to boot.
