Luis Caņas Reserva 2016 [Red]
Producer: Luis Caņas
Region: DOC Rioja

95% tempranillo, 5% graciano from 40+ year old vines, grown on small plots in Rioja Alavesa. Nurtured 18 months in 2 year old barrels of French (60%) and American (40%) oak.

Ripe juicy fruit (blueberry/blackberry), nicely integrated oak aromas (spices).
Rich mouth feel, plush tannins, well ripened fruit, spice (vanilla/cinnamon/clove), good persistence and a clean balanced finish. Excellent.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
