Salia 2020 [Red]
Producer: Finca Sandoval
Region: DO Manchuela

60% syrah, 25% bobal, 10% touriga nacional, 5% garnacha grown on clay/limestone/clay soils. The bobal & garnacha vineyards are over 80 years old, the syrah & touriga vines are more recent. Nurtured 10 months in 300 liter French oak barrels, bottled June 2021. Certified organic.

Red berry fruit, dry flowers/herbs, black pepper and a touch of leather & spice with a graphite/mineral background.
Velvety tannins nicely balanced with cherries & plums, peppery spice, medium weight and exceptional length. A keeper.
