Wine of the Week

Viña de Martín Os Pasás 2018 [White]
Producer: Bodega Luis Anxo Rodríguez
Region: DO Ribeiro

A blend of albariño, treixadora, lado and torrontés, vineyards between 10 and 25 years, growing on decomposed granite soils (known as "sábrego"). Nurtured in steel tanks on the lees for 10-12 months.

Starting to take on a touch of color, but still bright & fresh: mineral/saline notes with fresh garden herbs (fennel/grass) and forest scents (moss/ferns).
Crisp and saline on the palate, river stones & orchard fruits (apple/pear). Pleasure driven, excellent, a keeper.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
