Luis Caņas Gran Reserva 2016 [Red]
Producer: Luis Caņas
Region: DOC Rioja

95% tempranillo, 5% graciano from 50+ year old vineyards, malolactic fermentation in new oak barrels, nurtured 24 months in barrel (70% French, 30% American oak), bottled in February 2019.

Beautiful nose: elegant, subtile, complex with ripe berry fruit, cigar box, delicate spice and anise/licorice.
Super smooth with a touch of spice, mature fruit, silky tannins and a lengthy, refined finish. A magnificent bottle of wine.

An excellent example of a Rioja Gran Reserva, top drawer.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
