Wine of the Week

Fernando de Castilla Manzanilla [Fortified]
Producer: Rey Fernando de Castilla
Region: DO Jerez-Xéres-Sherry, Manzanilla

100% palomino fino, nurtured 3 years in oak butts in the classic solera system (Sanlúcar de Barrameda).

Pale color, fresh & saline, scents of seaside (algae/iodine), bay leaf & almonds.
Light & delicate yet flavorful, well integrated alcohol and a pleasant finish. Easy drinking, very good.

Will work well with a broad range of dishes: grilled shrimp & fish, lobster, fish, nuts and cheese.
