2022 Wine of the year
100% giró, organically grown on iron-rich limestone soils, 73 year old vines. Nurtured 12 months in French oak barrels (both new & used).

Lots of rich red berry fruit with brushy herbs, pepper, dry flowers, nicely understated oak/spice scents.
Substantial with ample fruit, balanced acidity & flawless tannins. Superb finish. Should grow/develop in the cellar. Excellent.

There's been some discussion of late about the giró grape. Native to Alicante, Sardinia & Mallorca, it could be garnacha or a distinct variety. Time & DNA will tell...
