Wine of the Week

Sincronía Negre 2019 [Red]
Producer: Mesquida Mora
Region: Vino de la tierra

A blend of organically grown native & "foreign" grapes: cabernet sauvignon, callet, syrah, monastrell, gorgollasa & manto negro. The different varieties are vinified separately, blended after malolactic fermentation, then nurtured for 6 months in French & American oak barrels.

Red berries, plums and a touch of spice. Relatively light but complex and full of wild berry aromas.
Fresh and easy on the palate, nicely balanced, with berry/cherry flavors, and a touch of spice & salinity on the finish. A very good wine, terrific value.

Mesquida Mora's wines are both organic & biodynamic; bottled under the Vi de la Terra denomination in Mallorca.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
