Garnacha de Bespén "Las Pilas" 2020 [Red]
Producer: Luis Oliván
Region: DO Somontano

100% garnacha (50% destemmed, 50% whole bunch), short maceration to keep tannins in check, nurtured 7 months in 600 liter French oak barrels.

Strawberry/raspberry, black cherry fruit and aromatic scents of hillside herbs (rosemary & thyme) and a hint of stony minerals.
Medium body, fresh and clean with ample berry fruit, herbs and silky tannins/minerals on the finish. A very good, easy drinking, easy to enjoy red wine.

Luis Oliván makes wine from selected vineyards in several regions (Madrid, Somontano & Campo de Borja). The "Las Pilas" vineyard is planted on sandy/alluvial soils in Bespén, Huesca at the foot of the Sierra de Guara mountains (Somontano).

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
