Wine of the Week

Arzuaga Crianza 2018 [Red]
Producer: Bodegas Arzuaga
Region: DO Ribera del Duero

94% tempranillo, 6% cabernet sauvignon, pre-fermentation maceration, nurtured 16 months in 225 liter barrels: 70% French oak, 30% American oak.

Deep dark cherry red color, elegant & complex nose: sweet ripe fruit (blueberry/blackberry), spice (vanilla/cinnamon), herbs (thyme) and a hint of cocoa/coffee.
These same sensations reappear on the palate with serious (yet silky smooth) tannins, full bodied with a delightful chocolaty finish. 🍷 Pure pleasure.

It may be "only a crianza", but a really excellent bottle of wine.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
