Solear Manzanilla Pasada - Verano 2021 [Fortified]
Producer: Barbadillo
Region: DO Jerez-Xéres-Sherry, Manzanilla

100% palomino fino, spends about 8 years under "flor" in "soleras" in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Summer of 2021, one of four seasonal "sacas en rama" where the wine goes directly from barrels to bottle. (375 ml)

Golden straw color, classic nutty aromas of "flor" with almonds, dried apricots, sesame seeds, cardamom, beeswax & old wood. Intense, seaside salinity, tremendous.
Fresh and clean on the palate with hints of amontillado, dried fruits, nutmeg, saline/iodine, serious persistence. Excellent.

The four "sacas" of this manzanilla pasada help show off the seasonal variations that affect the wine growing in the soleras throughout the year.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
