Valmiñor
Wine of the Week

Valmiñor 2020 [White]
Producer: Adegas Valmiñor
Region: DO RÍas Baixas

100% albariño grapes from vineyards in the O'Rosal area, close to the Miño River that borders Portugal. Cold maceration followed by temperature controlled fermentation (17ªC) for 15 days.

Apricot, dry flowers, quince, citrus and a touch mineral/saline.
Mellow yet fresh on the palate, with quince, mint and lime zest. There's plenty going on, and it's easy on the palate with lingering citrus & fruit. A very good albariño.

The O'Rosal area albariños tend to be mellow and easy on the palate. This Valmiñor is a fine example, and after a year in bottle is smooth and drinking beautifully.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
