Wine of the Week

Casa Primica Crianza 2017 [Red]
Producer: Bodegas Casa Primicia
Region: DOC Rioja

100% tempranillo, fermented for 7 days in stainless steel vats, 15 days maceration on the skins. Nurtured 12 months in American oak barrels

Aromas of ripe berries (blueberry/cherry), spice (nutmeg/cardamom) and a hint of leather and smoky toasted oak.
Clean & bright on the palate: blueberries, spice, mellow tannins, with fresh acidity and staying power. Very good wine, great value.

A classic Rioja Alavesa red from Laguardia. A pleasure to drink.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
