Wine of the Week

Dioro Baco Brut Rosado Pinot Noir [Sparkling]
Producer: Bodegas Escudero
Region: DO Cava

100% pinot noir cava from Rioja, made the traditional way (second fermentation in bottle), nurtured on the lees for a minimum of 24 months.

Nice raspberry pink color, persistent/fine bubbles, red berry aromas (raspberry/strawberry), rose petals and a hint of tea leaves.
Creamy well integrated bubbles & tart red fruit on the palate. Balanced acidity, a touch tannic on the finish which adds length and substance. Bright & refreshing on its own, or on the table. An excellent bubbly.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
