La Bota de Palo Cortado (17) [Fortified]
Producer: Equipo Navazos
Region: DO Jerez-Xéres-Sherry, Manzanilla

100% palomino fino, a specially selected "Bota Punta" from the Fernando de Castilla line of well aged Palo Cortados. A limited release of just one butt. (660 bottles 750 ml bottles).

Fine, elegant and enormously complex: walnut/butternut, dried fruit (apricots, raisins), aromas of old wood (like an antique shop) & beeswax.
The same sensations come back on the palate with concentrated dried fruits in the forefront, saline, nuts & old wood, with balance, intensity, complexity, length.
An exceptional bottle of wine, outstanding.

Palo Cortado is a very special (and relatively rare) type of sherry which combines the qualities of both amontillado and oloroso.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
