Albariño
Wine of the Week

Albariño de Fefiñanes 2019 [White]
Producer: Palacio de Fefiñanes
Region: DO RÍas Baixas

100% albariño from the Valle de Salnés area, stored in steel tanks before being bottled in March 2020.

Dry grass & flowers, lime, apricot/peach with saline/mineral notes.
Bright, fresh lemony acidity, apricot & kiwi fruit, a hint of herbs (thyme), nice balance between fruit & acid, great length, smooth rounded finish. Excellent

Fefiñanes was the first to bottle albariño under the Rías Baixas denomination. A top class albariño which has grown in complexity and mellowed after a year in bottle, but remains bright and vibrant. Enjoy with fish & shellfish.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
