100% tempranillo, nurtured 18 months in oak barrels (70% American, 30% French), bottled in April 2018.

Classic Rioja Alavesa style with a clean, elegant nose: blackberry & blueberry, spice (nutmeg/cardamom), a hint of smoke, chocolate, tobacco.
Bright & fresh on the palate, serious stuff, good balance, dark in color, smooth tannins, rich cherry/berry fruit, with background minerals & spice. A class act, easy drinking, good persistence. Great value, excellent bottle of wine.
