Viņa Ardanza 2007 [Red]
Producer: La Rioja Alta
Region: DOC Rioja

Although 2007 was an awkward vintage in Rioja, this just released Ardanza is delightful. Careful selection of the grapes (80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha) and extended ageing in used barrels are keys factors for this Rioja classic. Excellent.

Dark cherry red color, nice combination of spice (cinnamon, clove, vanilla) & fruit (blueberry/raspberry) on the nose. Silky smooth palate, velvety tannins and a long. elegant finish. A keeper that you can drink now, or cellar for a while.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
