Tres Ojos Garnacha 2009 [Red]
Producer: Bodega San Gregorio
Region: DO Calatayud

100% Garnacha from 50+ year old vines, grown in Calatayud's harsh, semi-desert terrain, give this "value wine" genuine character & personality. A versatile, fruit-driven red that will work well with a winter roast or a summer grill.

Dark cherry red color with a purple tinge. Ripe bramble berry aromas, dry herbs (thyme/rosemary) and spice (black pepper) on the nose. Bright and spicy on the palate with nice ripe berry fruit (blackberry/raspberry), peppery spice and well defined tannins. Great value and a pleasure to drink.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
