Fefiñanes
Wine of the Week

Fefiñanes Albariño 2010 [White]
Producer: Palacio de Fefiñanes
Region: DO RÍas Baixas

A perennial personal favorite, Fefiñanes is an excellent example of a well made Rías Baixas Albariño. 2010 was a warm, sunny vintage in the region with good ripeness and somewhat higher alcohol levels.

Ripe stone fruit (apricot/peach), stony mineral notes and flowers (honeysuckle) dominate the nose. The palate's ripe and rich with ample fruit flavors (apricot), and a hint of fennel & grapefruit with a long sweet finish. Very good.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
