Wine of the Week

Tres Ojos Garnacha 2008 [Red]
Producer: Bodega San Gregorio
Region: DO Calatayud

In the past few years, a number of excellent Garnacha-based reds have come out of the Calatayud region; and this unoaked Tres Ojos is no exception. Fresh and bright with lots of flavor - and a great value as well.

Bright cherry red color with red berry fruit (strawberry/raspberry) and spice (black pepper/thyme) on the nose. Fresh and fruity on the palate with a bit of tannic "bite" on the finish. Good summer barbeque quaff.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-9, Medium=$10-18, High=$19+]. The wines selected are usually moderately priced and generally exported around the world. Some exceptions happen...
