Finca Alicia Rojas Reserva 1998 [Red]
Producer: Bodegas Alicia Rojas
Region: DOC Rioja

This is a recently released special selection from one of my favorite Rioja wineries. A full-bodied, fruit-driven Riopa with a modern touch. Mostly Tempranillo with a bit of Garnacha & Mazuelo. A good choice for roasts or steak.

Dark bing cherry red color. Aromas show ripe berry fruit [blackberry/blueberry], toasty charcoal and minerals, vanilla, balsamics & spice [clove/vanilla]. The palate's wonderfully rich and long lasting, showing dark cherry/berry fruit, balanced oak & spice. Excellent.

A note to our readers:
I've used SRP, which is the normal price in Spain expressed in US dollars [Low=$5-7, Medium=$8-14, High=$15+].The wines selected are moderately priced and generally exported around the world - those marked with are in my opinion especially worthwhile.
