• Vineyards: 10,676 hectares (26,370 acres)
• 1999 Production: 796,960 hectoliters

Authorized Grape Varieties

• Whites: Palomino de Jerez, Palomino Fino (Listán), Moscatel, and Pedro Ximénez.

Typical wines:

• Manzanilla - very dry sherry
• Fino - dry sherry
• Amontillado - premium aged sherry
• Oloroso - aged sherry
• Palo Cortado - aged sherry (very little is produced)
• Pedro Ximenez - sweet sherry
• Cream - very sweet sherry
