Finca Higueron Holiday Cottages

Finca Higueron is toward the end of a no through road and has spectacular, all round, panoramic views and being 3km from the nearest village, La Muela, the two cottages are an idyllic venue for a quiet relaxing holiday, for couples.

The randomly planted shrub area by the southern wall is at the peak of the hill that Finca Higueron is mounted and the breath taking views include a southerly view to the Barbate pine woods, cape Trafalgar and its lighthouse and Africa, 60km away. On a very clear day, a great many kilometres away, the Rif mountains can be seen beyond Tangier.

There are two entrances to the property, the entrance by the orange tractor is for the proprietors, whilst some 50 meters back along the road is the guest's personal entrance. From the main entrance there are many tracks, trails and footpaths to explore, some easy, some tough, but all have spectacular views and are very quiet.

To the north of the central patio is the main house, which has its own patio where the laundry room has been installed in an old converted brick shed.

Separating the two cottages, there is a crazy paved path that meanders through a large concealed tropical garden, which is full of palm trees, yuccas, bird of paradise plants and colourful shrubs and flowers. It is surrounded by a large evergreen hedge and white walls with bougainvillea that have been trained to provide a frontage of colour.

The cottages are in the centre of the property; looking to the east side there is a large orchard with mature figs, olives and almonds, with views to Vejer and the Sierra Blanquilla and Sierra de los Melones in the distance.

There are no restrictions and we always look forward to our guests enjoying the space, relaxing and exploring the grounds. Or after a long day on one of the many beaches or having explored the local pueblo blanco's you want to just relax, sit it you own personal mini pool, with a refreshing drink and watch the sun set over the Atlantic

Also we spend a great deal of time working on the garden and encourage our guests to enjoy the pleasures of eating our fresh home grown vegetables, all year round. During the summer months there tends to be an abundance of tomatoes, red and green peppers, onions, carrots, beetroot, aubergines etc and green herbs. So whether you fancy either a salad or a meal cooked on the barbeque of your private patio, do so with the freshest vegetables imaginable
